Bologna is not just a city to visit — it is a city to live, to breathe in, to observe slowly as the light slips along the porticoes  and the bricks whisper centuries-old stories.

It is from this deep love for Bologna that my art courses were born, created for those who wish to go beyond sightseeing and transform their stay into an authentic, creative, and memorable experience.

I offer art workshops open to all levels — from curious beginners to more experienced enthusiasts — designed both for travellers spending their holidays in Italy and for university students, including Erasmus students who want to enrich their academic journey with a hands-on immersion in the visual arts.

 

These courses provide a unique opportunity to explore or deepen traditional and contemporary artistic techniques such as drawing, painting, ceramics,

printmaking, and photography.

Each workshop is conceived as a space for discovery, expression, and connection.

It is not simply about learning a technique, but about entering into dialogue with the place, the materials, and your own creative sensitivity.

Among easels, pottery wheels, engraved plates, and camera lenses, students are guided step by step along a path that combines technical skill with expressive freedom.

Many participants choose to take home a truly personal memory of the city: a sketch created beneath the porticoes, a watercolour of a quiet square at sunset, a photograph capturing a hidden detail, or an intaglio print inspired by Bologna’s architectural beauty.

Workshops may also focus on drawing and working from life,

inviting participants to explore views, corners, and urban atmospheres, reinterpreting Bologna’s charm through their own artistic language.

The experience is further enriched by contact

with nature and the unhurried rhythm of handmade creation.

Shaping clay, preparing pigments, engraving a plate, or waiting for the perfect light for a photograph become moments of presence and awareness — transforming time spent in the city into an inner journey as much as a geographical one.
